New to Blogger
Hello everyone.
I'm just first starting out on "Blogger" for the first time here today. I have been getting tired YouTube treating me like shit, and I guess it's just time to spread my wings a little more.
I've been posting pics of my plastic model builds for a few years now on G+ and have met quite a few really cool model builders. I hope to continue to meet new model builders and eventually I want to introduce my own model product line, based mostly in classic semi-trucks and other big-rig trucks in 1/25th scale PLASTIC kits. It's my original childhood dream! I started building models around age 5. My older brother built a lot of "Hot Rod" car models and I became hooked at a young age on "cool cars", and fell in love with older semi trucks with posters all over my walls as I was growing up. By the time I really got into building trucks, AMT's "growing lineup" died (1970's and 80's). Not sure why, but the classic car models kept going till Walmart and other big box stores pretty much killed the hobby in the 90's. One thing I feel wrecked the hobby was the constant "Childish" marketing (and packaging), and putting them, along with sharp razor like blades and toxic glues and paints, in the TOY section instead of in a more ADULT hobby atmosphere (like near the sporting goods???). After all, what "wife" won't tease their old man when going to the toy isles every time they went to Walmart? It's coming back, but it's still 'geared' more towered kids again! It's OK for women to have their "Crafts" and other "hobby" stuff AWAY from the toys, but not men's! So besides going back to school for business, I'm also taking some marketing classes, so I might have a chance to re-generate a push for more ADULT HOBBIES that young adults and older people can both enjoy without being labeled as "Playing With Toys",,, It's a craft, just like "Craftsmen", and I'm tired of people labeling models as toys. If you ask me, "die-cast collectibles" are TOYS, plastic kits are "ART".
I have a google profile, with many different "collections" of different types of models I build. You're welcome to check that out as I continue to build my new Blog.

Hopefully I will see many of the same people I know there here also, but I'd also like to start meeting more of you heavy truck modelers that I've seen around the net; some of which has some pretty impressive work posted! I know I am no expert on trucks, and I know I am not the best model builder either, but I'd like to start sharing many of my ideas and thoughts on some of the things I've created, and also new projects and maybe get an idea of the interest in new kits that have never been made before. I'm returning to college to gain the knowledge to start my own plastic injection molding model company. Any suggestions and "mentoring" any of yous can offer will be appreciated!
I hope to be able to keep up a good blog for you all to enjoy, and I'll always look forward to your comments.
